Late goals proved decisive in the weekend's round of Bulgarian Premier League matches, with PFC Marek Dupnitza among the teams benefiting.
Ten men win
Marek were reduced to ten men against fourth-placed PFC Naftex Burgas after the first-half sending-off of defender Veselin Penev. Home side Marek nevertheless took the lead five minutes from the end, althrough Krum Bibishkov although Amiran Mudzhiri hit a reply for the visitors on the break in added time.
Plovdiv do enough
PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv moved into fifth place with a 2-1 victory against PFC Rilski Sportist Samokov. Doncho Donev opened the score for Lokomotiv by converting a penalty in the 63rd minute and Martin Zafirov doubled the lead two minutes from time. Nikolay Boychev pulled one back for Rilski Sportist in the last minute, but there was no time for an equaliser.
Velichkov winner
PFC Lokomotiv Sofia netted their first win of the season with a narrow 1-0 triumph at PFC Chernomorets Burgas. Boiko Velichkov's strike ten minutes from time gave the surprise strugglers a long-awaited victory at their fourth attempt.
Derby delight for Cherno More
On Sunday, PFC Cherno More Varna defeated PFC Spartak Varna 2-1 in the seaside derby match. Promising young playmaker Georgi Iliev opened the scoring for Cherno More in the first minute, but Milen Georgiev levelled the scores almost immediately.
Double fracture
Cherno More lost Stefan Goschev to a broken leg in the first-half and his replacement, Baba, with a broken arm early in the second period but the home side secured the winner on 62 minutes through Adalbert Zafirov, and there was still time for Spartak to have both Ivo Trenchev and Nikolay Stanchev sent off.
