FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk continue to sparkle in the Ukrainian Premier League, as they overhauled FC Arsenal Kyiv at the top of the table.
Unbeaten record
Dnipro beat Arsenal 3-0 to move into first place with the only unbeaten record after ten games. Arsenal's first loss of the season so far takes them down to third place after setting the early pace.
Shakhtar win derby
FC Shakhtar Donetsk and FC Dynamo Kyiv also won in their respective games to put the pressure on thesurprise leaders. Shakhtar continued their incredible run of results against FC Metalurh Donetsk, against whom they have never dropped a point, by winning the derby 3-1. Olexiy Byelik scored the key goal for Shakhtar, who are now second, while Metalurh could only manage a consolation goal late in added time.
Cernat on target
Dynamo recovered from their 5-0 UEFA Champions League defeat at Juventus FC, to beat FC Polihraftekhnica Olexandria 2-0. Florin Cernat and Olexandr Melaschenko scored for Dyanmo.
Volyn in top five
FC Volyn Lutsk have also joined the leading group in fifth place, after triumphing against FC Obolon Kyiv, 2-1. Volyn's Vasyl Sachko, who scored for the third game in a row, is now the leading striker in the league.
Rymshyn double
FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih were led to a 2-1 victory against FC Vorskla Poltava by their striker Yevhen Rymshyn, who scored both goals, while Olexander Palianytsa's penalty aided FC Metalist Kharkiv to a 1-0 win at home to FC Karpaty Lviv.
