An 82nd-minute goal from Þeódór Óskarsson lifted Fylkir a point clear of KR on 31 points, a fortnight before the sides meet. KR were not able to create many chances against ÍBV in a physical encounter in which KR's Atli Jóhannesson was sent off after 72 minutes.
Goalless draws
Grindavík and KA Akureyri shared the spoils in a goalless draw which left the two sides sited third and fourth respectively in the table. It was also goalless between FH Hafnarfjördur and Keflavík - a result which kept FH in midtable and Keflavík third from bottom.
