Halfdan Gislason scored for ÍA after 28 minutes, before Agust Gylfason equalized from the spot after substitute Kristjan Brooks was felled by Gunnlaugur Jonsson. Captain Jonsson was sent off for the foul and will his side's next game, against ÍBV Vestmannæyjar in Vestmannaeyjar on 15 September.
