FC Sochaux-Montbéliard's Pierre-Alain Frau is out for ten weeks because of a broken tibia.

FC Sochaux-Montbéliard striker Pierre-Alain Frau will be out of action for around ten weeks after breaking a bone in his left leg.

Underwent surgery
Frau suffered the injury - a fracture of the tibia - in a challenge with Stade Rennais FC’s Laurent Battles and has since undergone surgery. It is not the first setback of the season for the player who was sidelined for several weeks after picking up an injury in Sochaux's UEFA Intertoto Cup semi-final against Fulham FC.

Under-21 international
Frau, part of the France team who were runners-up in the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in May, scored 14 league goals for Sochaux last season.
