Article body
Fifteen FC Chernomorets Burgas players have threatened to boycott this weekend's match against FC CSKA Sofia after accusations from their club president that some players took a bribe in the 1-0 loss against FC Lokomotiv Sofia.
Eight players barred
Ivaylo Drazhev, the Chernomorets president, claimed some of his players had sold the match, prompting an angry reaction from most of the club's players. Drazhev responded by barring eight players from training with the first team ahead of the match against CSKA, namely captain Kostadin Djambazov, leading scorer Mario Metushev, Dimitar Belchev, Borislav Panov, Yordan Todorov, Stefan Traykov, Petar Penchev and Nikolay Zhechev.
Then there were five
Seven other players left the training session in sympathy with their team-mates, leaving coach Ivan Tsvetanov to lead a training session with only five first-team players and five youth-team players. Chernomorets will probably field most of their youth team in the game against CSKA if the conflict between the president and the 15 players is not resolved.
Previous meeting
Last season Chernomorets won away to Lokomotiv in a game where they needed to take three points to retain their place in the top flight.
