PFC CSKA Sofia remain ahead of PFC Levski Sofia with a 1-0 victory against PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

PFC CSKA Sofia moved to the top of the Bulgarian Premier League with a 1-0 victory against PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

Shakiri goal enough
The home side, who maintained their 100 per cent winning start to the season, went ahead on 17 minutes through Artim Shakiri and held the lead to overtake city rivals PFC Levski Sofia, who on Saturday helped themselves to three valuable points with a 4-2 win against PFC Rilski Sportist Samokov to help the visitors overcome their UEFA Champions League exit at the hands of FC Dynamo Kyiv.

Chilokov hat-trick
Levksi were slow starting and paid the penalty when Ivan Gemedzhiev fired the hosts ahead after six minutes. Georgi Chilikov levelled with 22 minutes gone and his side edged ahead with Dimitar Telkiiski's penalty just after the half-hour. Ivan Stoichev made it 2-2 not long after the restart but Chilikov had the last laugh, completing his hat-trick with two further goals in the space of seven minutes.

Varna score three
Also on Saturday, PFC Spartak Varna eased past PFC Chernomorets Burgas 3-0 with goals from Georgi Karakanov, Nikolai Stanchev and Valentin Stanchev, while Kostadin Markov struck an 80th-minute winner as PFC Lokomotiv Sofia saw off PFC Dobrudzha Dobrich 1-0.

Sunday game goalless
PFC Naftex Burgas defeated PFC Cherno More Varna 2-1 with goals in the first 19 minutes from Nikolai Krastev and Stoiko Sakaliev in ensuring Marin Petrov's second-half strike was nothing more than a consolation. The Sunday match between PFC Litex Lovech and PFC Marek Dupnitze finished goalless.
