HJK Helsinki recorded their seventh successive win last night when they beat VPS Vassa 2-0 to remain five points ahead of second-placed Myllykosen Pallo-47 at the top of the table.
Unchanged side HJK coach Keith Armstrong surprised everybody when he chose to field exactly the same side, which was beaten 4-0 by FC Gomel in their UEFA Cup qualifying match a week ago. However, the tactic paid off as HJK won through second-half goals from Tero Penttilä and Jari Ilola.
