Farnerud hits post
Landskrona, who had lost three games in a row going into the game, began well enough, dominating the opening half without creating many chances. Malmö pressed forward in the second half, giving Landskrona more space but Hasse Eklund failed to capitalise on an excellent through-balls from Alexander Farnerud and Daniel Nannskog hit the post in the dying stages.
'Out of luck'
The result means that Landskrona continue their slide towards the relegation zone. "We're on a bad run but the truth is we've actually played well," midfield player Hasan Cetinkaya said. "It seems we're out of luck at the moment."
Six for Djurgårdens
Djurgårdens IF are still within one point of Malmö after beating IFK Norrköping 6-3. Despite being without three first-team regulars in defence - Markus Karlsson, Nicklas Rask and Patrik Eriksson Ohlsson - Djurgården were as lively as ever in attack. They went ahead on four minutes through Samuel Wowoah, and despite Antti Sumiala's penalty equaliser on the half-hour, Andreas Johansson put the home side back ahead before the break.
Johansson second
Kim Källström made it 3-1 in the second half, and though Georgios Karathanasis pulled another back, Babis Stefanidis and Makondele extended Djurgården's lead. Jonas Wallerstedt still had time to score for the visitors, but Johansson restored the three-goal lead in added time.
Ståhl blunders
Champions Hammarby IF FF, meanwhile, beat GIF Sundsvall 4-1 and moved to ninth as they attempt to keep clear of the relegation zone. Peter Markstedt scored the first of the night on 19 minutes and defender Karl Ståhl was at fault for two goals. Antti Pohja took advantage of a weak header back to the goalkeeper to nick in for the second and Ståhl then headed Kennedy Bakircioglü's free-kick into his own goal for the third.
Powerful strike
Bakircioglü sealed the win with a powerful strike from 20 metres straight into the top corner, and Svenning scored a consolation for Sundsvall with a tremendous volley.
Andersson levels
Kalmar FF drew 1-1 at Örebro SK, Krister Andersson cancelling out Jon Lundblad's first-minute opener for for the home side. The draw sees Örebro move up to fourth place in the league but for Kalmar the battle for survival continues. Their coach, Conny Karlsson, however, remains optimistic. "Well, three points would have been good, but this point might prove important in the end," he said.
