Article body
FC København and Aalborg BK maintained their positions at the top of the Superliga table with weekend wins against Odense BK and Køge BK respectively.
Cup final repeat
Odense dominated the match, a repeat of last season's Danish Cup final, but it was København who took the plaudits this time. Swedish import Jörgen Pettersson struck the only goal of the game, capitalising on a fine delivery from Thomas Röll Larsen to give Hans Backe's side a 1-0 win.
Gaarde opener
København have now amassed 20 points from ten matches, one more than Aalborg after their success at Køge. Allan Gaarde opened the scoring before Flemming Ljungström sealed the three points in the 18th minute at the Køge stadium.
Brøndby closing in
Brøndby IF remain three points behind København after beating Farum Boldklub 2-1. Dennis Sørensen opened the scoring for the hosts but Brøndby hit back through Kaspar Dalgas and Mads Jørgensen to secure the victory for Michael Laudrup's side. Elsewhere, Akademisk Boldklub and FC Midtjylland drew 1-1, as did Silkeborg IF and Esbjerg fB.
