Aalborg BK beat Danish Superleague leaders FC København 3-0 on Sunday to usurp them at the top of the table.
Always on top
The home side were always on top and went ahead on 14 minutes with a superb shot from Allan Gaarde. Thomas Roll missed a penalty for København five minutes before half-time, and they were made to pay after the break with further Aalborg goals from Andres Oper and Thomas Augustinussen. København pair Bo Svensson and Sibusiso Zuma were sent off in stoppage time.
Esbjerg hold champions
Champions Brøndby IF continued to falter as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Esbjerg fB. Peter Madsen scored his first of the season for Brøndby from the penalty spot, but Jan Kristiansen was able to level 16 minutes from time to leave the hosts trailing Aalborg by six points.
Kristensen double
Striker Frank Kristensen scored twice in the second half to give FC Midtjylland a 2-0 victory against Silkeborg IF, while Farum also won at home, coming from behind in the last 16 minutes to beat Odense BK 2-1. Viborg FF overcame Akademisk Boldklub 2-1.
