Poland round-up: Derby joy for Legia

Members

Legia Warszawa climbed to third in the table after an emphatic win against KP Polonia Warszawa.

Interval lead
Goals from Stanko Svitlica, Cezary Kucharski, Lukasz Surma and Dariusz Dudek capped a fine display by the home side. Once Svitlica broke Polonia's resistance with a 35th-minute penalty, there was no stopping Legia who increased the lead shortly before the break when Kucharski fired in an Aleksandar Vukovic cross.

Surma seals it
Polonia pulled one back on the hour through Arkadiusz Bak but Surma sealed the points after Vukovic had run half the length of the pitch to help create his first goal for the club. Substitute Dudek grabbed the fourth two minutes from time with a scissors kick.

'Very happy'
The win, Legia's 800th in the top flight, extended their unbeaten run to 29 games. "I'm very happy with the way we played and, of course, with the result," coach Dragomir Okuka said.
