'Grateful for the points'
A 41st-minute goal from Aleksei Jeremenko proved decisive after HJK goalkeeper Andras Vilnrotter kept out the home side with an excellent display. "We have to be grateful for the three points - it was mostly Inter attacking and Andras defending," HJK coach Keith Armstrong said afterwards.
Eleven straight wins
It was HJK's eleventh straight win, equalling the record they set in 1999, and consolidated their lead over Myllykosken Pallo-47 with just three games of the season left to play.
'Fight for second'
FC Haka boosted their hopes of overtaking MyPa in the race for second place with a 4-0 away victory at FC Lahti. Valeri Popovitch was the hero with a hat-trick. "Third place is now certain, but we'll fight for the second spot until the end," said Haka coach Olli Huttunen.
