Tottenham Hotspur FC are back up to third after a 3-1 home victory against Bolton Wanderers FC.

Tottenham Hotspur FC are back up to third in the English Premiership after a 3-1 home victory that sent Bolton Wanderers FC into last place.

Keane double
The opening half was scoreless, but Robbie Keane was on target for Tottenham in the 58th minute for his first goal at White Hart Lane since his switch from Leeds United AFC.

Davies seals game
Former French international Youri Djorkaeff equalised four minutes later, but Keane restored Tottenham’s lead with just over a quarter-of-an-hour left. Simon Davies, fresh from scoring in Wales's 2-1 EURO 2004™ victory against Italy, sealed the game for the Londoners in added time with a volleyed goal.

Relief for Charlton
Charlton Athletic FC moved out of bottom spot at the expense of Bolton with their first home Premiership win in seven months. High-flying Middlesbrough FC were the beaten side, with Jason Euell scoring the only goal on 15 minutes, and Charlton holding on to secure a deserved victory.

Praise from manager
Winning manager Alan Curbishley said after the game: "To score early was a bit of change for us. But no one could work as hard as they did after that. We had to win at some stage, I just wish it could have been a little earlier."
