FBK Kaunas were today celebrating a fourth successive Lithiuanian title after clinching the championship with a 3-1 win at FK Nevézis.
Godelis opener
Despite wrapping up the A Lyga with three matches remaining, Kaunas did not have it all their own way in Kedainiai as Nevézis - bottom of the table and 58 points behind the leaders going into the match - took the lead after 29 minutes through Vigintas Godelis.
Second-half star
The advantage lasted just eight minutes, Remigijus Pocius equalising for Kaunas. Midfield player Marius Bezykrovnas was the star of the second half, adding further goals in the 54th and 73rd minutes to seal another commanding display. FK Suduva beat KASK FK Gelezinis Vilkas 4-0 in today's other match.
