FK Partizan stayed top of the Yugoslav first division following a 1-0 victory over newly promoted FK Mogren while OFK Beograd climbed to third place with a 3-2 win at FK Cukaricki.

Vukic seals points
A fine goal from Zvonimir Vukic on 71 minutes sealed the points for Partizan while OFK had Aleksandar Simic's 62nd-minute strike to thank for their win. FK Sutjeska continued their steady upward progress up the table with a 2-1 win against 10-man FK Obilic who had Nenad Mladenovic red-carded after 30 minutes. Srdjan Radonjic scored twice in the second half to wipe out Mirko Aleksic's opener.

Niš off the mark
FK Radnicki Niš recorded their first win of the campaign in a 3-1 home triumph over FK Zeta. Vojkan Kuzmanovic opened the scoring in the 47th minute and Goran Mihajlovic doubled the advantage ten minutes later. Striker Bojan Brnovic reduced the arrears with 19 minutes remaining, but Lazar Jovicic sealed the points in the 84th minute.

All square at Rad
FK Rad and FK Hajduk Kula shared the points after a 1-1 draw. Nebojsa Zivkovic put the hosts ahead on 36 minutes with a stunning header from Nenad Grozdic's free-kick, but were pegged back four minutes from time when Nikola Malbasa levelled from the penalty spot.

Sartid bounce back
FK Sartid, who were eliminated from the UEFA Cup by English side Ipswich Town FC, bounced back to secure a 1-0 win over FK Rudar Plevlja. FK Radnicki Obrenovac and FK Javor Ivanjica played out a goalless draw to leave Javor without a goal in their last six games. FK Crvena Zvezda, conquers of AC Chievo Verona in the UEFA Cup, continued their good form with a 3-0 victory over FK Zemun.
