FC København threw away two valuable points in their pursuit of the Danish Superliga at the weekend after a 1-1 draw at home to FC Midtjylland at the Parken stadium.

Rathe equaliser
København took the lead through Peter Møller two minutes before the break, his low shot beating Danish international goalkeeper Peter Skov-Jensen. But after the break Midtjylland stepped up a gear and substitute Thomas Rathe equalised with a left-footed strike from Nicolai Jørgensen's pass.

Five-point lead
However, København now have a five-point lead at the top of the table after injury-ravaged Silkeborg IF were surprise 4-3 winners at Aalborg BK. Silkeborg took the lead through Kenneth Fabricius after just six minutes and Lars Brogger added another on the half-hour mark.

Unfortunate own goal
Andres Oper reduced the deficit before Christopher Poulsen levelled the scores with an unfortunate own goal. Strikes from Iddi Alkhaf and Jesper Thygensen made it 4-2 before Christian Christiansen pulled one back a minute from time.

Defeat for Esbjerg
After a good run of form, Esbjerg fB were brought back down to earth with a 2-0 home defeat against Farum. Esbjerg started brightly and created several chances in the first half, but Niclas Hindsberg netted his sixth goal of the season for Farum seconds after the restart. David Rasmussen doubled the lead five minutes later with a free-kick.

Viborg jeered
Viborg FF were jeered off the pitch by their own fans after being held to a goalless draw by nine-man Odense BK, Espen Hansen and Mwape Miti having both received their marching orders in the first half.

Brøndby held
Defending champions Brøndby IF were held 1-1 by Akademisk Boldklub at the Gladsaxe Stadium. AB took the lead through Peter Benjaminsen's 51st-minute header, but Swedish international Matias Jonson levelled the scores five minutes later.

New boys win
New boys Køge BK followed up their win over Brøndby with a 3-1 victory at AGF Århus, Henrik Eggerts, Jimmy Kastrup and Anders Clausen scoring for the visitors.
