Pena strained his calf warming up for Saturday's league game at FC Sochaux-Montbéliard - a 2-0 defeat which left Strasbourg in ninth position in the French Ligue 1.
Le Pen doubt
The 32-year-old, who is on a season's loan from Portuguese side FC Porto, will have a scan on Wednesday to find out the full extent of the problem. Meanwhile, midfield player Ulrich Le Pen is doubtful for the weekend match against RC Lens with a thigh injury.
