Krogh on hand
Mogens Krogh saved two spot-kicks against Odense BK in a penalty shoot-out to push Brøndby IF into the next stage of the competition. Peter Madsen had given the hosts the lead five minutes before the break but Kenneth Møller Pedersen equalised shortly before the end to force a shoot-out.
FCK join Brøndby
FC København will join Brøndby in the next stage after a comfortable 2-0 win away against Herfølge BK, while Akademisk Boldklub's problems continued with 2-1 defeat at home by FC Midtjylland.
Blistering form
Aalborg BK were in blistering form as they wrapped up a 3-0 win against Silkeborg IF to make up for their 3-2 defeat against the same side in the Danish Superliga two weeks ago. Mads Bro Hansen gave the hosts the lead on the brink of half-time and Stefan Bidstrup completed a dismal night for the visitors with two further goals after the break.
Esbjerg continue winning ways
Elsewhere, Esbjerg fB continued their winning ways with a 2-1 triumph against Skjold IF, while Næstved secured a 2-1 win against Vejle BK and Farum were 2-0 winners against Skive.
