Article body
Champions Djurgårdens IF clinched the double today after beating AIK Solna thanks to a golden goal in the Swedish Cup final at the Råsunda stadium.
Extra-time winner
After a tense 90 minutes had finished goalless in front of 33,727 fans, Louay Chanko fired Johan Elmander's pass into the roof of the net in the tenth minute of extra time. The victory was all the more notable as the cup final was played at AIK’s home ground.
Title triumph
The win secured Djurgårdens’ second cup final win and rounds off an excellent season for Soren Akeby's men. They clinched the Swedish First Division title on the final day of the season last weekend thanks to a 2-0 win over IF Elfsborg, a result which meant that the Stockholm side finished six points clear of nearest challengers Malmö FF.
