FC Torpedo Kutaisi stayed one point in front of FC Dinamo Tbilisi at the top of the Georgian Premier League thanks to a 2-0 victory over FC Kolkheti-1913 Poti.
Torpedo drive on
Givi Didava and Zurab Ionanidze were the architects of the victory, scoring both the goals. Dinamo, meanwhile, returned to winning ways with a 2-0 away defeat of FC Sioni Bolnisi. Ilia Kandelaki and Georgi Mikadze made up for the 1-0 loss to FC Lokomotivi Tbilisi in mid-week.
WIT halted
FC Lokomotivi Tbilisi blocked the recent charge of FC WIT Georgia Tbilisi by winning a hard-fought encounter 2-1 courtesty of goals from in-form Levan Melkadze and Levan Merebashvili in a match marred by a scuffle.
