Georgia round-up: No change at the top

FC Dinamo Tbilisi, FC Torpedo Kutaisi and FC WIT Georgia Tbilisi all won at the weekend, ensuring the top three in the Georgian Premier League remained unchanged.

Fortress penetrated
FC Milani Tsnori, however, did become the first club to score at Dinamo`s Boris Paichadze stadium since November last year as they went down 3-1. Tsnori took an early lead through Lasha Egadze but Mikheil Bobokhidze and Vitali Daraselia, with two, hit back for the home team.

Gamezardashvili winner
Second-placed FC Torpedo Kutaisi, meanwhile, collected a 2-1 victory over FC Dinamo Batumi, with Givi Didava`s precise shot opening the scoring before 17-year-old prodigy Georgi Modebadze pulled one back on 76 minutes. Substitute Davit Gamezardashvili sneaked the win with a header from a Malkhaz Asatiani cross.

WIT third
FC WIT Georgia Tbilisi, in third, defeated Merani-91 Tbilisi 2-1, while FC Sioni Bolnisi’s good form continued with a 1-0 win over FC Metalurgi Zestaponi and FC Dila Gori overcame FC Gorda Rustavi by the same score away from home.

Easy win
In the Saturday game, FC Lokomotivi Tbilisi defeated FC Kolkheti-1913 Poti 2-0 with goals from Davit Siradze and Mamuka Rusia.
