Bologna FC striker Giuseppe Signori will be out of action for up to three weeks after picking up an injury against Modena FC last Sunday.
Twisted knee
The forward twisted his left ankle after just two minutes of the match. He tried to continue playing but left the pitch after nine minutes when he was replaced by Claudio Bellucci. "I feel much better now and I hope to return as soon as possible," said the former Italian international, who hopes to return to face his former club S.S. Lazio on 22 December. "Maybe I will be ready for the match against Lazio."
Second injury
This is the second injury of the season for Signori. The 34-year-old also sustained a knee injury at the beginning of September which sidelined him for two months. After returning to action Signori scored three goals in three consecutive matches against Como Calcio, AC Perugia and Juventus FC. Signori is in his fifth season with Bologna, having previously scored 103 goals for Lazio between 1992 and 1997.
