Bjarnason joins ÍBV

KR Reykjavík’s Tryggvi Bjarnason has joined ÍBV Vestmannæyjar on a two-year contract. 

New beginning
The 19-year old defender had a miserable campaign in 2002 as injury meant he could only take part in three matches, but he is now hoping to kick-start his career with ÍBV.

Coach pleased
At ÍBV, Bjarnason will be reunited with Magnus Gylfason, his former assistant coach at KR. "I am very happy to have Bjarnason with us,” said Gylfason. "I know him very well from when I was his trainer for a while at KR and also in the national youth team. I believe he will fit very well into our team and help to fill in for Hlynur Stefansson and Kjartan Antonsson in our defence.”
