Article body
Haralampie Hadziristeski has been elected president of the Macedonian Football Union (FSM) at its assembly in Skopje.
Comprehensive win
Hadziristeski gained 74 votes from the 92 delegates at the assembly, compared to only 16 for his opponent, the former player Darko Pancev. The election was called because the former president, Lambe Arnaudov, resigned the day before the assembly. Hadziristeski was formerly president of FK Pobeda, and has been a member of the FSM’s executive committee for the past four years.
'I will work hard'
Hadziristeski said of his appointment: “I cannot hide my pleasure at my win. I would like to thank all the delegates who voted for me and I promise that I will work hard to do something more in Macedonian football. I will work on reforming the Macedonian Football Union."
