FC Dinamo Tbilisi strengthened their grip on the Georgian Premier League with a 2-0 defeat of FC Dinamo Batumi at the weekend.

Easy win
Rati Aleksidze opened the scoring on eleven minutes and Alexandre Gogberishvili doubled the lead late on in the second half.

Missed penalty
FC Torpedo Kutaisi stayed on the leaders’ heels after defeating FC Sioni Bolnisi 1-0 despite almost being forced to share the spoils, only taking the three points because Georgi Koridze missed a late penalty. Malkhaz Asatiani had put the visitors into the lead.

Gallardo decisive
Peruvian midfield player Rafael Gallardo kept FC Lokomotivi Tbilisi in the chasing pack as his goal decided the game with FC Merani-91 Tbilisi.

Comeback thwarted
