PSV Eindhoven have handed FC Groningen midfield player Jordi Hoogstrate a contract until the summer of 2008.
Permanent move
The 19-year-old had agreed a principal agreement with PSV last year and has now finalised the terms of his permanent transfer, which will happen at the end of the 2002/03 campaign. Hoogstrate has been a regular for hometown club Groningen in the Dutch Eredivisie this season and has already played a total of 32 first-team games.
Reunited with Robben
Hoogstrate will join former team-mate Arjen Robben at PSV, who have a number of injury problems heading into the second half of the season. Coach Guus Hiddink has particular problems in a defence missing the likes of Kasper Bogelund and Kevin Hofland and will have to shuffle his pack for the visit of RBC Roosedaal this weekend.
