Sunderland AFC overcame Bolton Wanderers FC 2-0 after extra time in tonight's FA Cup third-round replay to seal a fourth-round tie with fellow Premiership side Blackburn Rovers FC.

Hosts Sunderland rested forwards Tore André Flo and Kevin Phillips while handing debuts to Sean Thornton and Nicolas Medina. Howard Wilkinson's side had the better of the early exchanges with Kevin Kyle going close to opening the scoring three times in the first half.
Arca opener
With the score still goalless after 90 minutes, the game moved into extra time and Sunderland shifted up a gear in the first period. Julio Arca finally broke the deadlock in the 99th minute before Michael Proctor made sure of the win with a second goal a minute later.
Millwall to face Southampton
Elsewhere, first division Millwall FC came from behind twice to win their replay against Cambridge United FC of the third division 3-2 and set up a tie with Premiership side Southampton FC. In a replay between two first division teams, meanwhile, Ian Moore scored twice as Burnley FC overcame Grimsby Town FC 4-0 to set up a meeting with second division Brentford FC.
Norwich come from behind
Another all-first division fixture saw Norwich City FC come from behind to beat Brighton and Hove Albion FC 3-1 at Carrow Road in a third-round tie that was postponed first time around due to a power failure. In the fourth round, Norwich will face non-league Dagenham and Redbridge FC, who beat second division Plymouth Argyle FC 2-0 in their replay thanks to goals from Danny Shipp and Junior McDougald.
Other replays
The night's other replays saw second-division side Crewe Alexandra FC draw 2-2 with AFC Bournemouth of division three after extra time before going down 3-1 on penalties. Bournemouth will face Stoke City FC in the next round. Finally, the game between first division Reading FC and Walsall FC also went to penalties after ending 1-1 after extra time. Walsall held their nerve from the spot to win 4-1 and set up a fourth-round meeting with 1988 cup winners Wimbledon FC.
