Brøndby tempt back Zaza

Karim Zaza will rejoin Brøndby IF from Odense BK on 1 July after agreeing a two-year deal with the champions.

Goalkeeper Karim Zaza will join Brøndby IF from Odense BK on 1 July after agreeing a two-year deal with the Danish champions.

'A greater challenge'
A former Brøndby youth player who has also appeared for arch-rivals FC København, Zaza will replace the retired Mogens Krogh in the Brøndby goal. The 27-year-old said: "I have always said that I wanted to go to a foreign club [to take] a step up the ladder, but there is no doubt that Brøndby can provide greater challenges and bigger experiences."

Valuable experience
Brøndby coach Michael Laudrup cannot wait for Zaza's arrival after declaring that current custodians Casper Ankergreen and Kim Drejs are too young for regular first-team action. "We have two good keepers, but they are both relatively young and that is why I am very satisfied with the signing," he said. "Now we can bolster our squad with the best and most experienced goalkeeper in Danish football in the summer."
