Servette FC midfield player Massimo Lombardo has signed a new three-year contract.

Servette FC midfield player Massimo Lombardo has signed a new three-year contract to keep him at the Geneva club until June 2005.

Swiss international
The 30-year-old Swiss international midfield player, who joined Servette from Lausanne-Sports during the winter break last season, has made 33 appearances in total for the club, scoring three goals.

'Extended his contract'
Lombardo previously played for AC Bellinzona, Grasshopper-Club, AC Perugia and FC Lugano. "Massimo Lombardo has extended his contract with Servette," the club said in a statement. "He will play for the club until June 2005."

Fournier hope
Another of Servette's Swiss internationals, Sébastien Fournier, is still unsure of his comeback date. The midfielder, who has not played since 1 September following a knee operation, has suffered further inflamation in his knee and is due to see a specialist next Tuesday. "We hope he will come back soon because the team are very much in need of him," said coach Roberto Morinini.
