Revivo to decide on future

Israeli international Haim Revivo has said he has yet to receive a formal offer from Galatasaray SK.

The future of Israel midfield player Haim Revivo has yet to be decided after the player confirmed he had not yet received a formal offer from Galatasaray SK.

Wants to stay
Reports from Turkey yesterday indicated a move had been agreed, but Revivo has spoken out to clarify the situation. "I have not signed for Galatasaray," he said. However, the player added that he was keen to stay in Turkish football and would definitely consider a switch to Ali Sami Yen stadium. "So far no formal offer has been made," he added. "If an offer comes I will think about it."

Without a club
The 30-year-old left Galatasaray’s Istanbul rivals Fenerbahçe SK last month after failing to negotiate a new contract at the club he joined in summer 2000 from RC Celta de Vigo. Revivo's departure then turned sour over a dispute about unpaid wages reportedly totalling €1,650,000, the player subsequently lodging a complaint to FIFA.

Besiktas on top
There has not been a major move between the clubs in years, although Besiktas did sign Sergen Yalçin from Siirt JSK after he had spent a season on loan at Galatasaray. Besiktas currently lead the Turkish Super League from Galatasaray, who are two points behind having played a game more. Fenerbahçe are six points behind Besiktas.
