Three-year contract
Bjørn Helge Riise has signed a three-year contract with the Belgian club after impressing in a trial period. The 19-year played two matches with Standard's reserve team and proved his versatility, although he is usually a midfield player.
Norwegian team-mate
"I am so glad to play football again," said Riise. "Now I must learn the language although luckily fellow Norwegian Ole Martin Årst plays here." Riise had been linked with a move to British clubs Manchester City FC and Cardiff City FC, but neither transfer could be agreed. He had spent the last season on loan at Viking FK.
