Training camp
The 27-year-old will sign a three-and-a-half year contract later today before flying to the capital club's training camp in Turkey. Sparta coach Jirí Kotrba will field his acquisition in forthcoming friendly matches against Galatasaray SK and Swiss side Neuchâtel Xamax FC.
Speed and stamina
A player noted for his speed and stamina, Zboncák's father played 1. liga football 30 years ago. The left-footed player joined Slovan from 1. FC Brno in December 2001, helping the Liberec club win the Czech championship. He scored seven goals for the club this season, including three in the UEFA Cup.
Record transfers
Zboncák joins fellow recent recruits Pavel Pergl and Jirí Homola at the Letná stadium as Sparta continue to use money earned from the €3.7m sale of Jirí Jarosík to PFC CSKA Moskva.
