Vladimir Gevorkyan has been confirmed as coach of 2001 Belarussian champions FC Belshina Bobruisk.
Players' dispute
The 47-year-old, who has been working with FC Dinamo Brest reserves, was initially appointed on 6 January, but the players opted to continue to train under replaced coach Andrei Khlebosolov and called for club president Oleg Gushcha to be sacked by Bobruisk mayor Mikhail Bondarenko, whose city owns the team.
President backed
However, the city authorities have backed Gushcha, and Gevorkyan, who was Brest's head coach between 1994 and 1997, will now take over the side that finished eighth in the Premier League last year.
