El Asmar boosts new boys

Newly promoted Allsvenskan side Enköpings SK have signed Malmö FF's Moroccan international goalkeeper Driss el Asmar on loan ahead of the new Swedish season which begins on 8 April.

Down the pecking order
The 27-year-old's first-team opportunities had become limited at Malmö following the signing of former Real Sociedad goalkeeper Mattias Asper and the emergence of Lee Baxter.

Possible permanent move
El Asmar has won two caps for his country and the move could be made permanent during the summer transfer window. "A club from Norway has also asked for Driss el Asmar, but this solution is best for all parties," said Malmö sports director Hasse Borg. "He will go to Enköpings as their first-choice goalkeeper and if he does well then maybe they can afford to buy him,"
