Article body
FC Midtjylland signed a trio of players today as they bid to strengthen their squad before the Danish Super League gets under way again in March.
New challenge
The most prominent purchase was undoubtedly the signing of Danish international Thomas Frandsen from Viborg FF. The 26-year old defender was eager for a new challenge after spending six seasons at Viborg and said: "I have reached the age where you should hopefully start to win things. I have always [seen Midtjylland] as a very well organised unit and the results on the pitch speak for themselves."
High-profile signings
Feyenoord's Danish Under-21 Danish international Jan Frederiksen and Michael Hansen, who has joined from Silkeborg IF, are the other new names in the Midtjylland squad. Frederiksen has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract while Hansen, who has been one of the stars of the Superligaen over the last two seasons, has agreed a two-year deal.
Bright future
Midtjylland managing director Jens Ørgaard was delighted with the signings and said: "We have signed some of the most talented players in the league who will be ready to step into our side immediately. The future looks extremely bright for Midtjylland at the moment."
