Club Brugge KV extended their first division lead to eleven points as they beat RAA Louviéroise.

Club Brugge KV extended their Belgian first division lead to eleven points as their 3-0 win against RAA Louviéroise was matched by a shock defeat for RSC Anderlecht at home to KVC Westerlo.

Early lead
Brugge were ahead on two minutes on Saturday when Peter Van der Heyden was set up by Sandy Martens. The supplier turned scorer in the 74th minute when Martens was put through by Gert Verheyen - who himself registered eight minutes from the end in converting substitute Alin Stoica's cross.

Surprise win
Anderlecht were hoping to keep in touch with Brugge on Sunday but instead conceded second place as Westerlo gained a 2-0 win. Marc Wagenmakers put Westerlo ahead on the half-hour and despite the home team's efforts, their hopes were ended eight minute from the end when Tosin Dosunmu held his nerve in a one-on-one with goalkeeper Daniel Zitka.

Sint-Truiden held
The previous day, K. Sint Truidense VV had moved into second place despite being held to a 1-1 draw at home by KFC Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen, and held it after Anderlecht's defeat. Paul Kpaka put Germinal Beerschot ahead in the 27th minute but Kris Buvens equalised for Sint-Truiden early in the second half.

Fourth for Lierse
K. Lierse SK are fourth, level on points with Sint-Truiden and Anderlecht, after beating KFC Lommelse SK 2-1. Arouna Kone put Lierse ahead on 17 minutes, and although Stijn Haeldermans curled in a free-kick for the visitors eight minutes from the end, Kone headed in another near the end to secure the points.

Roussel hat-trick
Elsewhere, Cédric Roussel scored a hat-trick for R. AEC Mons as they beat KSK Beveren 4-1 at home, while R. Charleroi SC sent troubled KV Mechelen to the foot of the table with a 3-0 win. Champions KRC Genk lost 4-1 at Sporting Lokeren St-Niklaas Waaslan, who stay fifth, while KAA Gent secured a 4-1 victory at R. Antwerp FC and, on Friday, R. Standard de Liège won 1-0 at R. Excelsior Mouscron.
