Squad numbers
Currently striving to avoid relegation to Serie B, Atalanta have moved for the 33-year-old Piacenza FC left-back Paolo Tramezzani and Parma AC's Sebastiano Siviglia, 30. The duo have already trained with their new team-mates at the Atleti Azzurri d'Italia stadium, where they will wear the number 40 and 22 shirts respectively.
Former favourite
Tramezzani made his name at Internazionale FC before arriving at Piacenza ahead of the 1996/97 campaign following spells in Serie B with AC Venezia and Cesena Calcio. A €2m move to Tottenham Hotspur FC followed, though the defender failed to make his mark in London and returned to Piacenza, whom he has represented seven times this season. Right-back Siviglia is a former Atalanta favourite, having turned out for the club between 1998 and 2001.
Huge match
The new signings will hope to feature on Monday when third-bottom Atalanta travel to face the side directly below them in the Serie A table, Torino Calcio. The fixture is a rearranged one following the death of Atalanta team doctor Walter Polini on 8 December, the original date for the game.
