ESM Golden Shoe: Hooray Henry

Members

Arsenal FC's Thierry Henry continued his rich form against West Ham United FC.

Henry up to fourth
Henry's treble in the Premiership leaders' 3-1 win lifted him to fourth in the ESM Golden Shoe standings on 17 goals and 34 points - just three short of the leader, Andrei Krõlov of FC TVMK Tallinn.

Shearer's early strike
Another Premiership striker, Newcastle United FC's Alan Shearer, was also on target. Shearer took just ten seconds to score his side's opening goal in the victory over Manchester City FC - his 14th league goal lifting him to sixth.

Serie A duo
Up to eighth after his 12th goal of the season is Christian Vieri, although his late strike offered little consolation to Internazionale FC as they went down 4-1 at AC Perugia. Another Italian striker on the climb is Francesco Totti, whose eleventh goal failed to save AS Roma from defeat at Atalanta BC.

Only the leading five countries (Spain, Italy, Germany, France and England) on the UEFA Ranking have 2 as their multiplier. This is to emphasise the difference in (international) performance level between the clubs from those countries and those from the other countries.

A player cannot first play in a summer league (e.g. Norway) and then in a winter league (e.g. Spain) and combine the points total for each season.
