Article body
Henry landmark
Southampton FC's James Beattie climbed up to fourth place after striking his 14th and 15th Premiership goals of the season in his side's 2-2 draw at Middlesbrough FC while Arsenal FC's Thierry Henry is one goal and one place behind after his double in the 4-0 win at Birmingham City FC. Henry's goals lifted his goals tally for the Gunners to 100 from 180 appearances.
Move closer
Beattie has climbed within seven points, or three-and-a-half goals, of the summit. The leading duo, FC TVMK Tallinn's Andrei Krõlov and FC Pyunik's Arman Karamyan, cannot add to their tallies as their domestic campaigns are already over, while Celtic FC's Henrik Larsson, currently third, must wait for Scotland's winter break to end to add to his total.
Pauleta strike
Over in France's Ligue 1, Pauleta's goal for Girondins de Bordeaux in the 2-1 victory over Montpellier Hérault SC lifted him to joint-22nd place in the table.

Only the leading five countries (Spain, Italy, Germany, France and England) on the UEFA Ranking have 2 as their multiplier. This is to emphasise the difference in (international) performance level between the clubs from those countries and those from the other countries.
A player cannot first play in a summer league (e.g. Norway) and then in a winter league (e.g. Spain) and combine the points total for each season.
