Dundee FC have completed the loan signing of striker Mark Burchill from Portsmouth FC until the end of the season.
Wage cut
Burchill, who has six caps for Scotland, has taken a considerable cut in wages to give himself a chance of first team action after falling out of favour at Fratton Park, where he was put up for sale in December.
Leg injury
The forward cost Portsmouth €1m from Celtic FC in August 2001 but has struggled to overcome the effects of a serious leg injury. Appearing mainly as a substitute, he has scored four goals so far this season.
'Quality player’
Dundee manager Jim Duffy said: "He is a quality player and we are always looking to improve the the squad. Hopefully, he can be a success here."
