Creative touch
The 29-year-old will provide some much-needed creativity to Karpaty's attack. The club, coached by Jovicevic's fellow Croatian, Ivan Golac, are in 15th place in the Ukrainian top flight, which is currently on its midwinter break, and have scored only 12 goals in 15 games.

Frustration at Madrid
Jovicevic made his professional debut for NK Croatia Zagreb in 1990 and two years later he joined Madrid. However, he failed to establish himself in the first team and endured a frustrating four seasons at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Japanese sojourn
In 1996, Jovicevic returned to NK Zagreb, and then, in 1999, signed for J-League side Yokohama Marinos. From there he moved to Guarani Sao Paolo in Brazil and then FC Metz in France. Last season Jovicevic played for Shenyang Jinde in the China.
