DSC Arminia Bielefeld defender Maciej Murawski will be out of action for six weeks after sustaining a ligament injury to his right knee.
Strong challenge
Murawski sustained the injury in a tackle with 1. FC Kaiserslautern defender Harry Koch in Saturday’s 1-1 draw in the 1. Bundesliga. He joined Arminia from Legia Warszawa in 2002, but has made only nine appearances so far this season for his new club, who currently lie 12th in the table, five points above the relegation zone.
International experience
The Polish defender has won five caps for his country, and was a member of Poland’s FIFA World Cup squad in 2002. He made his last appearance in their only win of the campaign, a 3-1 victory against the United States.
