AIK Solna's Daniel Hoch is out for at least a month after suffering a meniscus injury during pre-season training.
Growing injury worries
Hoch, who must now have surgery on the knee, will not be able to resume full training until mid-March, but is expected to be fully fit for the start of the new season when AIK take on Allsvenskan newboys Enköpings SK. Hoch is the latest in a long list of knee injuries at the club with Andreas Alm, Svante Samuelsson and newboy Arash Talebinejad also out.
Facing surgery
Hoch has been having problems with the knee for a few months but the cause of the injury was not discovered until X-rays were carried out. "It's good that they found it but I really wanted the surgery to come earlier," he said. "That would have been much better. I can only hope that someone cancels their surgery so that I can get mine a bit earlier."
