Article body
No risk
The 32-year-old has negotiated a contract that should keep him at the Lerkendal stadium for the rest of his career. Rosenborg sports director Rune Bratseth said: "He is very important for the club and although he is 32, we don't see any risk in having him here for three more years. He is never injured and plays in all our matches."
Top scorer
Brattbakk top-scored for Rosenborg last season with 17 goals as the club won the Tippeliga championship. He previously played for Celtic FC in Scotland and Danish side FC København but has spent most of his career with Rosenborg.
Arason rejects offer
One player unlikely to remain at Rosenborg is Icelandic international goalkeeper Árni Gautur Arason, who has refused the club's offer of a new three-year deal. The 27-year-old claims to have received offers from a number of big European clubs.
