Article body
Brescia Calcio winger Jonathan Bachini has been ruled out for the rest of the Serie A season after suffering a serious knee injury.
Scan confirms injury
The 28-year-old former Udinese Calcio and Juventus FC player twisted his right knee during last Sunday's 2-1 win against Reggina Calcio, forcing him off the pitch in the 33rd minute. Bachini underwent a scan today which confirmed that he had torn ligaments in the joint and he will be out of action for at least three months, with the league season scheduled to end on 25 May.
Excellent form
Bachini, who joined Brescia on loan from Parma AC in 2001, has been in excellent form this season playing 17 matches and scoring one goal for Carlo Mazzone's team. Brescia are currently 12th in Serie A, five points ahead of the relegation zone, and face Bologna FC on Saturday. They will also be without Dario Dainelli and Josep Guardiola, both sidelined for about ten days with a knee and calf injury respectively.
