FC Zhenis Astana have signed midfield player Rafael Urazbakhtin from Russian Premier-Liga side FC Rostselmash Rostov-Na-Donu.
Injury problems
The Kazakh international was plagued by injuries in Russia, and was on loan to another side in his home country, FC Yelimai Semey, last season. This week, Urazbakhtin has joined Zhenis for their pre-season training camp in the United Arab Emirates.
Kazakh cohorts
The 26-year-old has played nine times for Kazakhstan, scoring twice, and will join Zhenis on a one-year loan deal. In the meantime, two other Kazakh players will remaina at Rostselmash for the coming season – international duo Samat Smakov and Andrei Karpovich.
