Two late goals for Celtic FC ensured they stayed within three points of Rangers FC at the top of the Scottish Premier League.
Sutton winner
Celtic's Sunday match against Livingston had got off to a bad start when leading scorer Henrik Larsson suffered a double fracture of his jaw in a 14th-minute clash of heads with Gustave Bahoken, and seems set to be ruled out for at least several weeks. Livingston went on to take the lead through Rolando Zarate but with 15 minutes left, Shaun Moloney - on for Larsson - hit the crossbar and Mohamed Sylla scored from the rebound. Then with five minutes to go, Moloney's free-kick was parried by Alan Main and Chris Sutton followed up to score the winner.
Rangers win
The previous day, Rangers had secured a 3-1 victory against Dunfermline Athletic FC. Neil McCann put the table-toppers ahead in the 31st minute with a cross-shot from the touchline following a short corner taken by Mikel Arteta. Craig Brewster equalised four minutes after the break, but further goals from Lorenzo Amoruso and Claudio Caniggia ensured Rangers remained in pole position.
Derby draw
Honours ended even in Sunday's derby fixture as Dundee United FC and Dundee FC drew 1-1 at Tannadice. Dave Mackay's own goal had put bottom-placed United ahead, but Nacho Novo equalised for the visitors and their hosts were forced to hold on for a point after Charlie Miller was sent off for a second bookable offence.
Ten men beaten
Heart of Midlothian FC consolidated their position in third place with a convincing 3-0 Saturday home win against 10-man Kilmarnock FC. Alan Maybury's second goal of the season was quickly followed by a red card for Kilmarnock's Greg Shields. Hearts then took full advantage to score two more goals through Dutchman Mark de Vries and Canadian international Kevin McKenna.
Motherwell climb
Elsewhere, Partick Thistle FC secured a 1-0 win at struggling Aberdeen FC and Motherwell FC climbed out of last place by beating Hibernian FC 2-1.
