Members

PFC CSKA Sofia are back in the driving seat in Bulgaria after a 2-0 win against PFC Lokomotiv Sofia.

National holiday
With all of this week's games being played on Friday because of Bulgarian Liberation Day on 3 March, which is a national holiday, CSKA resumed their winning streak after a draw last weekend ended their 100 per cent record going back to the start of the season.

Goals disallowed
Former Lokomotiv players Emil Gargorov and MacDonald Mukasi both had goals disallowed for CSKA before Mukasi broke the deadlock nine minutes into the second half after a mix-up in the Lokomotiv defence. Gargorov then followed his example, scoring 20 minutes later with a fine strike.

Five for Levski
Reigning champions PFC Levski Sofia kept their challenge alive with a 5-1 win at PFC Marek Dupnitsa. Sasa Simonovic gave Levski a dream start with a goal in the fifth minute, adding a second in the 38th minute. Georgi Chilikov also scored twice to move to the top of the goalscorers' chart with 18 goals in 15 matches, while substitute Stanislav Genchev completed the rout. Krum Bibishkov pulled a goal back for Marek.

Joy for Slavia
PFC Slavia Sofia also hit five against PFC Rilski Sportist Samokov at home. Serbian midfield player Budimir Djukic opened the scoring in the 22nd minute and Georgi Borinarov scored an own goal two minutes from half-time to make it 2-0 to Slavia. Georgi Vladimirov Georgiev made it 3-0 in the 73rd minute and Blagoy Georgiev scored a fourth from the penalty spot before Velimir Ivanovic capped the fine win with a fifth goal six minutes from time.

Litex comeback
Elsewhere, PFC Litex Lovech came back from a goal down to win 4-1 at PFC Chernomorets Burgas. Stefan Traykov opened the scoring for the home team in the 24th minute, but Hristo Yovov equalised a minute before the break. A minute after the restart, Desislav Rusev gave Litex the lead, Claudio Graf made it 3-1 and international defender defender Rosen Kirilov added a fourth a minute from time.

Two each at Cherno More
Two players hit two goals in PFC Cherno More's 4-0 win against PFC Botev Plovdiv. Captain Adalbert Zafirov scored in the seventh and 37th minutes while new Serbian signing Darko Spalevic added another two in the 39th and 47th minutes.

Penalty kicks
Two goals from penalties brought PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv victory over PFC Spartak Varna, with Petar Kolev and Krasimir Dimitrov both scoring from the spot. Although Rosen Petrov was sent off, Lokomotiv still held on for the win.

 Victory for Dobrudzha
Basement club PFC Dobrudzha Dobrich claimed their first win of the season with a shock 2-1 victory over high-flying PFC Naftex Burgas. Ivo Dimov put Dobrudzha ahead in the 36th minute but Nikolai Krastev equalised in the 89th minute and it appeared Naftex would earn a share of the spoils. However, Kalyan Genchev was the hero as he popped up with a dramatic winner in stoppage time.
