FK Austria Wien moved 16 points clear at the top of the Austrian Bundesliga with a 3-1 victory away to struggling FC Kärnten.

Decisive third goal
Midfield player Vladimir Janočko opened the scoring for the away side after only nine minutes, and Radoslav Gilewicz’s second midway through the second period put the leaders in complete control. The home side pulled a goal back six minutes from time as Arno Kozelsky scored to give his side hope of rescuing a draw, but Austrian Under-21 international striker Joachim Parapatits restored Austria’s two-goal cushion with almost the final kick of the game to secure all three points.

Home win
Meanwhile, Grazer AK moved up to sixth place in the table thanks to a 4-1 home victory against second-bottom side Schwarz-Weiss Bregenz. The home side took the lead with a Roland Kollmann goal after 27 minutes, but the away side quickly recovered and equalised six minutes later through midfield player Dietmar Berchtold.

Second-half strikes
However, defender Anton Ehmann restored the GAK's lead before half-time, making it 2-1 after 37 minutes, and second-half goals from Nikola Milinković and a second from Kollmann after 57 minutes sealed a win that marked Bregenz’s ninth league defeat of the season.

Games postponed
The two other scheduled games, between SK Rapid Wien against VfB Admira Wacker Mödling and SV Pasching and SV Ried were postponed due to bad weather.
